We can't wait to meet you!
No matter if this is your first time visiting or you've been here before, you are welcome!

What is it like?

We are a casual, easy to get to know group of Christians.  We are not too hung up formalities but we do follow a traditional Lutheran liturgy which may seem strange your first time.  But we have a bulletin to follow, and friends next to you to guide your way.

We don't a choir or a band at this time but we do sing with talented organ accompaniment.  We have open communion every Sunday.

Where do I park?

St. James does not have designated parking lot but the church building is directly across Gallatin Street from the County Courthouse where there is ample parking.  We do have two disabled parking spots and a ramp for those in need.

What do I wear?

Please dress comfortably.  You will see some men in coat and tie and women in dresses and even wearing a hat but most are dressed in more casual clothing.

How can I get connected?

You will be greeted warmly by members, the ushers who can answer your questions, and by Pastor Brad who is usually roaming around greeting folks in the minutes before the service starts.  Pastor Brad's personal email is jamesvandalia6@gmail if you have concerns, prayer requests or questions.  You can also call the office (618-283-0725) and leave a message which will returned as soon as possible.  Or please stop by and see Pastor Brad in the church office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
